Veterans looking for a place to call home are encouraged to check out Cal Vet Veterans Home of California in Redding.  They offer affordable housing at all levels of care. More importantly, they offer you a home surrounded by people that care for you and Veterans that share your experiece.

Services:
  • Single occupancy room with desk, TV, recliner

  • All meals provided: Three meals a day and between-meal snacks

  • Residential Care Coordinator on staff

  • Professional dietary consultant on staff

  • Weekly housekeeping

  • Linen and laundry services

  • Scheduled transportation

 

Common Area Amenities:
  • Dining room and social areas

  • Family room with Fire place

  • Self-serve kitchen and eating area

  • Laundry rooms

  • Library, quiet Reading rooms

  • Recreation areas ( BBQ, Putting greens, bocce ball, shuffle board and horse shoe pit)

  • Main Street: General Store, Barber shop, Postal Office, Bank

  • Hall of Honors – a Corner of the facility dedicated to nostalgic pictures, stories and static display material

  • Resident Gardening areas

  • Putting Greens, Shuffleboard Court, Horseshoe pit and a Bocce Ball Court, Ping Pong Table, video games

  Personal Care and Support:
  • 24-hour personal assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming as needed

  • Medication management

  • Bedside care and tray service for minor, temporary illness or recovery from surgery

  • Maintenance or supervision of resident cash resources

  • Emergency alert/response system

All Members will be afforded single occupancy rooms. The levels of care include Residential Care for the Elderly (RCFE) , Skilled Nursing  and Memory Care.
